Coffee and Cake for breakfast

Made this, wasn't really hard work. Mostly are ready made, I have to bake this in Microwave oven instead of normal oven, because our oven is in lower cabinet. We never thought about children safety when we did the kitchen renovation.

The filling is white chocolate and hazelnut. J commented, I made something dangerous.
All the calories that had gone during exercise needs to be recycled with new one :-P

I am dying to watch Avatar. But I can't simply go to cinema without taking leave!

How many stroller do you need?

Found out from here that super hot mama Heidi Klum is having another stroller Easy Walker QTRO. I don't know how many she has but seems everytime I turned to this page she is with her new stroller. I can understand why she needs that as each of stroller has different purpose. I thought I am the only one like her, but my neighbour also the same, and I have seen a korean with more than a stroller in Penang when we bumped into him.

Easy walker seems suit what we need, small folding into one fold, which mean when travelling will be easy. It looks strong and wide build so it won't be wobble for tough daily use. This is Dutch make, therefore it is compatible with Maxi Cosi Cabrio baby car seat.

And one thing about stroller, if your baby don't need that anymore, there is always market for 2nd hand goods. We have a few strollers that we have used since Adam was born. Not that we buy them just because we want to show around. Each of the stroller serves different purpose.

I like most of Quinny product. We got this Quinny Zapp because it is very light and folds very compact. But doesn't work for newborn baby, and it can't be reclined. So we kept straighten up Adam's head when he fall asleep. The good news if you have maxi cosi you can still dock it on this stroller.

Bugaboo is a definite, it serves most of purpose, except travelling. Not that you can't, you still can travel with it. But it is too bulky after you fold it, and it is in 2 pieces, too many to handle while you also need to handle a baby. I blogged about it last year, so you can read here.

At gurney drive

We are using Maclaren quest and Obaby. They are similar type of stroller and serve most of what we need from travelling, small folding in one piece, strong build, multi position recline so it is suitable for newborn and your sleeping baby. I definetely recommend this stroller, pocket savvy and meet the purpose.

We got 2 of full tups from our neighbor, and we nearly finish them all... Love holiday for excuse to eat a lot. HO HO HO

Boxing Day

We didn't have any turkey sandwich :-) But did a lot of things. Went for roti chanai in the morning, then to market bought some beef and as our neighbour shared about the reject shoes, we went to look and found this shoes (reject) selling at RM20/pair, :-). I love shoes and ended up bought one pair for myself and one for Adam. Although they are reject I feel they are still wearable and just some of the designs weren't mould as they should.

I am happy to show, as it is only RM20. I think they sell in many "pasar malam" in Malaysia.
Of course if you look closely, there are defect here and there. But paid 100 bucks lesser, so no complaint.

RM20, it is a bit bigger for Adam.

We have to open the present one in a session. He gets frustrated with this maze when he couldn't move the beads one site to the other, but definitely this is good for his motor skills.

Roti jala moulder can be used as alternative toy :-P

We played little big planet for a while until get disrupted by little boy.

Lot of presents for young man... and a lot of foods for us

He is the man today... He got more presents than us. He still have 3 that he hasn't opened yet. One at a session.

He got 2 stockings, one from Afzan's next door.

Ate a lot, and felt like I ate a whole turkey as we fall asleep after lunch. And a lot of sweet candies, cookies and muffins... from the Hoopers next door.

Santa bib from Grannie Prue

I don't know why he giggled so much..

Christmas Eve

Originally uploaded by AziBam

I worked today. I just had to finish all work with US before they gone for holiday. I want to make J feels like his usual christmas tradition with his family. It is like when you are not "Balik Kampung" during raya. I can understand his feeling. He told me what he did with his family back in England during christmas. I totally understand.

When we looked from the window to other houses, they all look dark. He said if this is England it is bright everywhere. We went for dinner in Ananda Bahwan, our usual restaurant. And as usual the restaurant is packed and this time they have nice christmas decoration, with scary santa (Santa is wearing white mask) We should have taken picture.

I lighted up a few candles in the courtyard. And had christmas carol just to make him feel like christmas. So tomorrow, we will go for christmas lunch and may be mingle with our neighbour during the weekend.
I hope the traffics and malls won't be so jam. Last long weekend there were extra 10K cars came into the island. This is the worst thing living in the tourist area, bad traffic during holiday.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

We finished all the shopping and just need to do wrapping and distribute to people who will receive them. We are not going anywhere, and if you are in Penang, can come and visit us :-) But don't expect turkey as we don't make one. Enjoy this christmas clip.

I seldom exercise and the weather can be too hot in Malaysia to walk. Since ever having Adam, I walk more and enjoy the scenery of neigbourhood. Adam loves the playground, and so do I. The beach is not as pretty as and swimable like Batu Feringhi, but the view is nice to me. I love to see the ferries passing by to dock in Weld Quay. Hope one day I can be on it :-)

How lazy I was ...

Super lazy dish today, I just sauteed green bean, carrot and ovened up fish fingers and made mash potato from the box.
Littleman enjoyed scooping the mash potato into his mouth. Although he missed a lot and ended up messy all over.

Can't wait to watch, but no fun to watch alone

They are sibling in the drama, but married in real life. Cool eh!

I really can't wait to watch Dexter finale. Waiting for J to come back and better watch together. A lot of the time during killing and dangerous sences I will close my eyes and asked J what happened. I am really penakut but still want to watch this drama.

Visit to Uncle Rich Next Month

This is J's brother with Adam when he was here last christmas, and little Adam was only 2 months. We are going to visit him next month. Initially it was for different purpose but turn to become vacation holiday for us. I still haven't decided what to do there yet, and where to stay. Just only started browsing on lodging, and thanks to Catz on some info about Melbourne.

Incy Wincy

Sang this song many times to Adam.

"Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the water Sky,
Down came the rain and washed the Incy out,
Out came the sunshine and dried up all the rain,
And Incy wincy spider climbed up the spout again."

Wonder why one of Iphone application (Application for babies and toddlers) named the song Itsy Bitsy instead of Incy Wincy.

He misses his "de-deh"

He woke up in the middle of the night and said, "deh". This morning he woke up and said the same thing again "deh" and looking at J's sleeping site. He really misses his daddy.

Last night, when got ready to sleep. I stacked a few pillows next to him, he jumped onto the pillows thought "de-deh on the other site of the pillow. Littleman really misses his de-deh.

Christmas this year

This year at first, we couldn't decide if we want to put up christmas tree. With the fact that Adam is going to destroy it. We went to his school and they have already put up, and said Adam is good not to touch them. So we finished it up the 2 nights before J's flight. Didn't do much different to last year, except white LED light, that we got because we thought the colourful one didn't work.

Not like last year, nobody from J's family is coming this year, since we are going to visit them in Jan. We will spend time at home, christmas lunch, watching TV or may be head up to somewhere nearby. No real plan yet.

.....This year Christmas without the cats....

Mood masak...

J called on the way back from KL if I want anything, but then I decided to cook something simple. Quesadillas, just like in Chilli's except we don't have sour cream in the fridge. Actually this is super lazy masakan.

4 Tortilla wrap (Cold Storage/Giant/Tesco sell 5 pieces in bag )
2 pieces of chicken breast (diced)
1 large onion (Slice cut)
2 table spoon whostershiresauce
pepper and salt (
Salad leave (I used butterhead)
Shredded Cheddar

1 green bell pepper (diced)
2 large tomatos (diced)
jalapeno sauce

Mix salsa ingredient and cool in the fridge.
Heat the sauce pan with oil and sautee onion till soft, then add chicken, whostershiresauce, pepper and salt. Put aside. On flat pan warm tortilla. Then assemble the filling, salsa, and cheddar, together into the tortilla. You can roll wrap them, but I prefer to put the filling straight onto the tortilla while it is heating on the flat pan, so cheddar is melted into the chicken and another layer of tortilla on the top.

When J arrived, Adam quickly ran to the door and looked very happy that dada is back. He now started to tell us when he is going to poo or fart, by pointing down, soon is potty train time I guess....

Netbook instead of games

Originally uploaded by AziBam

I couldn't remember where did I find the article or note, that many children in school exam scorer don't want PSP or Nintendo DS or video game as their reward but, they want to have netbook. How lucky they are to have this kind of option. Not during my time, We don't have such thing like internet handy. Even my in high school computer the most advance computer programming was BASIC.
Wonder what will they have during Adam time.

Daily Routine - surirumah

One of my routine is to clean the porch that full of leaves and water the plants, it is autumn almost everyday in our porch. I usually do after picking up Adam from his school. The bamboo tree is difficult to take care because the leaves keep dropping. It took us ages to get the bushy bamboo trees, but our previous maid suka hati chopped the trees, she thought it looks nicer. The leaves now started to drop into my neighbour porch, and luckily they have maid to clean them up. I like the seats at our entrance here, although, I seldom use them, Thought one day I can sip a cup of tea with J and having scones and sandwich while waiting for son to come home from school. At first, we put the seats for our parents so they don't have to bend over to put on shoes instead. It is the seat where Willie likes to lie on, so we put the floor mat for Dusty and him.

Other than that, this year I was able to make a few christmas cards and have started sending them to family and friends. I managed to squeeze and sneak time to enjoy what I loveto do.

Raising Adam..

I was waiting to see doctor for Adam's check up. There were a chinese couple with their son about age 5 or 6 sitting nearby.

Mommy, "You were always listen to us when you small but now, you never listen to us anymore"
Son, "That's because when I was small I was dumb dumb listening to you, and now I am big and I can think myself"

Parents then just ignored him.

This is something that I am afraid of what Adam will turn out to be. Don't respect parents.
When I was kid I didn't really have much to say to my parents. I just followed what they said and respected what their decission to us. Never in a time that I remember I disobeyed what they said. When we naughty our parents punished us, I still remember how I was being punished when I was 6 I brought my brother played near the drain and he then injured for stepping on the rusty can. I still obey and respect him and never hate him. He brought us becoming well behave so I am thankful how we were being raised.

So, how should I raise Adam?

Lots of writing and reading

Found that Toy'r Us is selling the Crayola Beginnings, and thought it is a good time for Adam to start playing with writing stuff. Crayola is non toxic crayon and easy to clean. It is not forcing Adam that he must write but just to introduce something new to him besides the crayon looks like toy to him. Well, he ate the crayon more than writing on the paper.

He also shows interest in books, and likes us to read to him. We still have a series of Beatrix Potter need to read to him when he is bigger. But, now we just playing and having fun. It wasn't heavy reading to him. The books are mainly with sound. So we don't have to read so much to him... Let the books do all the work :-)

He is in cat's heaven with Pudie

Originally uploaded by AziBam

Early morning our door bell rang. The security was outside the gate. "Kakak, kucing mati". I was so shocked and hoping it wasn't our cat. I walked to the road and my heart is broken as soon as I saw Willie lying on the road.

The neighbour's garderner thought he fought with dogs, because some of his fur were scattered all over the road. I went inside and my tears dropped called J. He then brought Willie into our porch and cover with towel.

We are very sad, I cried all the way to work today. We will get SPCA help to cremate him. I can't believe this is happened to him. I remember last night, after he finished his food, he wanted me to open the door as he liked to be outside.

Willie is my favourite cat. He is not just like normal cat. Although he is a bit dumb, compare to Dusty, he is huggable chubby cat. A lot of people thinks he is like dog for his size.

We know that it wasn't anyone fault. It is the faith that he has to go away. He will be with our other cat Pudie in the heaven and hope he can eat a lot of good stuff up there too...We will miss you Willie
