Kids are so honest. This evening we had our usual walk to playground and saw a mixed Eurasian girl with chinese mother.
When her mother were talking on the phone, she shouted to her,

"Mom, are you going to get marry and break up again?!!!!"

We both looked at each other shockingly.

2 kids only we can afford

... Where do we put if we have the 3rd? I calculate our kids education if we are sending them to international school from age 4 to 17, will cost us about RM300,000 for each kid (based on 2011 fee, I haven't included the inflation rate) J said about the same amount if we send them in private school in UK, where he studied. Will see... They can always go to local school, just like their mother.

I have never rejected the fact about "anak itu rezeki", I just want to give the best of the best to our kid, thus I think 2 is enough.

My Recent Shopping Mood

Since Adam was born, we don't really spend things for ourselves. All the time we shop for our kids. Even recently when we went to Singapore, I only bought a pair of soles which cost like 20SGD. But when come to grocery I love it so much. Honestly, wherever we travel thing we do is grocery, see what people in the country and use for their home.
When we went to Singapore, I bought  lots of abrorio rice for rissoto, since it is hard to get in Penang. When we were in Australia we went to see cheese!!! I smuggled cheese in our hand carry. And when we were in Italy of course pasta, and UK is everything and anything especially the kitchen product.

In UK, I bought this kind of soap squirting sponge (Handle and lots of refill). You don't have to hold on the sponge, so at least you take care of your hand. I don't buy designer handbag or shoes, unless it is a gift then I won't decline.

*Beli Sponge basuh pinggan pun nak bagi tahu orang...hehehehe

Adam & me time

I am so happy that Soph is so easy, she sleeps at 8, and wake up at 4am, or 5am or 6am or 7am :-)
This is really good for me that I can spend time with Adam 100% getting my attention. He is enjoying it.

J is now in Singapore, attending dinner for their new distributor and does so some work. He sent me this photo, and look at his tie. It is Gucci!!! No way he bought the tie... That was a gift from his customer. Nice!!!

Glympse on IPhone

J and I have been using glympse since I was in hospital gave birth to Soph. It helps me to tell where was J location while he drove to the hospital. We then use a lot, especially when I am stuck in traffic jam, J will know from my speed he then get ready to pick up kids. This is the feature that I like about Glympse where the speed will tell you how much time you can estimate to see the person, even when J was looking for car park I will know :-)

It works by sending the link of Glympse via SMS/text message and the sender can set up the expiration period 15 mins, 30 mins or 1 hour up to max 4 hours.

This my current location.

Last few days

Tomorrow is my last working day. I have cleared my desk and that just took me about 20mins, because I don't have many print out and being ruthless for not bring back my stuff home.
I sent out notification to external people whom I have been working with and received response and phone calls that they are shocked. And thankful me of course for the pass few years working together. It was touchy, but I have made my decision. Surely, I will miss my work.

After had banana pancake and ice cream (mamak's roti pisang) we drove to jetty and now we are on the ferry.

A change

Finally, we got Adam to like something else than Toy Story. Buzz is really his hero.
We introduced Chuggington to him through tv show. And got him some toys of chuggington collection. Or else everytime, every second will be Buzz and Buzz and Buzz...

Don't touch

I went to school to send Adam and Soph, the school's teacher made comment that Adam is very protective to his sister. Other kids who come near to Soph, get a warning from Adam "Don't touch".
I wonder when Soph is bigger, Adam is going to screen trough her boy friend :-)

33+ and still jumping

This is one of those shot that I always want myself to have. Jumping photo :-)
J had to take a few and these are 2 that really show that I am jumping.
I had to jump from that side wall for plant.
That wasn't even a meter high. Think I have to make my body lighter then I can jump better.

Crazy things that I still do in life!!!

Pancake and milk!

Sunday's pancake

What can be happier than waking up on Sunday morning and having pancake for breakfast with your family. God! I love this moment not to rush my kids. They are still sleeping when I am writing this. I am making pancakes from scratch.
I made myself a cup of tea for boosting my energy of the day.
Those ripe bananas that we usually throw away when forgot to eat will go onto pancakes, a lot of maple syrup, dashes of lemon (English style) and a lot of sweeties (raisin, chocolate rice or color rice) sprinkles!!!! They are inviting Adam to eat.

Slowly make Adam sleeping on his own

J has been sleeping in Adam's room since ever we are trying to train Adam to sleep in his own room. We think this is about time to have Adam to sleep on his own. Now that Sophie is sleeping in her own room,(we started from 1 Jan ;) we made Adam to understand that baby can sleep alone. So, he needs to do the same thing.
Thanks Goodness Sophie now sleeps through 6 to 8 hours every night. We don't want to repeat the same mistake.
Last 2 nights after he fall asleep J moved to our room, and he was ok the whole night. However, last night he woke up at 1:30AM and screamed. So j woke up to look after him. We try to set rule not to let kids come into our room before 5AM. But after that they can come in and snuggle with morning hugs and kisses.
Tonight we are doing the same again, I will standby for Sophie and J will standby for Adam. Hopefully he is getting better day by day.

I mentioned about child minder, my former boss's wife talked about confident can help kids sleep alone. One way of building kids confidence through physical activity. Example climbing, playing on slides. I am not sure if this just co-incidence that Adam is fine to sleep alone. I just don't know. But sure, we will continue bringing him to this new place that I found he can climb, go onto slide without being hold.

My resolution to cook everyday isn't only starting this year. Since ever Adam was born I had been cooking almost every otherday. Yes, food is cheap in Penang but the best is always home cooking.

Don't ask me to cook lemak chili Padi, or asam pedas, or anything pure malay cooking which contain a lot belachan. I can, but I will be the only one eat them. Tekak omputeh tak lalu.

One of meal that I always find convenience to have is meatball. Why meatball? Cooked beef can always be frozen. This is so much convenience to have them cooked in advanced, freeze it, and cook again whenever you need it. What always do I cook a lot of meatball in advanced. You can google online, it is so easy that there is no way you will do wrong.
Here what you need-

Minced/ground meat. 500g
Bread crumbs (I sometimes omit this, then you get more meaty flavor) 1 cup
Chopped onion 1
Egg 1
Salt and pepper for seasoning

Mix all the ingredient and using your hand make a few ball shape of the meat mixture, it is depending on you how big you want to shape the meatballs.
I prefer mine about 1 inch diameter (quite big)

Arrange the meatballs on the baking tray.
Then bake in the oven 180 degrees, for 45 minutes.

I usually get about 25 to 30 meatballs. Then keep them in freezer. And whenever I want to cook I will just take a few, 12-15 meatball for menu of 2 adult and 1 toddler.

What recipe can you make with meatball? It will usually go to my pasta sauce.

Recently I made Kofta curry, served with rice.

And last night I made Sweedish meatball served with mash potato and cranberry sauce. (Sound like Ikea's) But mine is better :-p

I always want to take photo what I cook but damn they went into the tummy first. :D

I find shredding paper is so therapeutic. My hubby just sent me a pile of documents of our old house in PJ. We don't need to keep them since has been sold ages ago.

Every time I put the bills which we have paid into this machine I feel relief! A way to not becoming hoader!!!

Time to empty this machine.

The terrible two

Adam is so mischievous, that he wants to do everything on his own way. There are times he didn't want to eat, didn't want to take bath and just whining for nothing. We are both so tired that sometimes feel like to whack him but of course we didn't. I thought we are the only one who is feeling that way, but when we were in Tesco today I saw this mother just bit and pinched the boy who she tried to put him into trolley. For us when do grocery that he is trying to run around, we just buckle him in the stroller and let him cry. Of course we got the funny look from other people. Be a parents to terrible 2 is really tiring, that make us think why people keep having kids... :)
Not all the time he is like that, sometime he is unpredictably being so nice that melted our heart. I guess it is part of raising kids, that I hope they will appreciate us one day.
