My birthday

I am 36 this year. How do I feel, same as any other year :D. Anyway, J and my kids decided to bake a cake for us. Kids wanted to get involved. So J made easy chocolate cake, and I suggested to use fondant. This is our first time using and I am quite impress with J to finish making it.

One of the best present ever !

Toilet trained

Sophie toilet training started with wee, and she had been doing it for the past 3 months. The poo part was difficult because she always wanted to poo in nappy. We have been given her pressure that she needs to go to toilet.

Last week, like 2 days before my birthday we both decided, may be we are pressuring her so much that she doesn't want to do it. So we just kept quite about her poo in toilet.

A day before my birthday she did it for J, and since then she has been in toilet. Less nappy. Although, we still let her wear at night just in case.

Best birthday present this year! :D

Lunch for Adam

Next week Adam will start reception and he will be at school for longer hours. Since he is taking bus he will be only arrived home at 3pm. I am now figuring out how to make good lunch for him. His school doesn't have canteen. Although there are caterers, some of the foods are none halal and the halal one either Indian or vegetarian. Worse thing, I had to do the order every week.

So I will start the battle to pack Adam lunch from next week. I have bough some lunch box, thermos lunch box, ice pack lunch box, to try out which one works the best. We have made Adam learn how to open the box by himself. Hopefully I can write about it more.

Eid 2013

It is hari raya celebration in Malaysia. Our tradition to go back to parents house and celebrates with my siblings.

I am lucky that we don't have to argue to celebrate in whose parents house. It is always mine :-) Anyway, for those who has to go to both parents house drive safely, bring a lot of entertainment in the car for your kids and be happy, after all it is hari raya.

Hari raya this time is much more meaningful for our kids since they are out of toddler phase. They understand it is about getting together, salam and hugs. Other than, Kuih raya, angpau and dishes.

Since this is school holiday we are taking this opportunity to visit Legoland and puteri harbour.

It is going to be a few years of hari raya on school holiday :-) we should enjoy this moment.
